Central and Eastern European Music Publishers Congress (CEEMPC) hosted by ICMP (International Confederation of Music Publishers) and MEDDER (Turkish Music Publishers' Assosciation) gathered 150 copyright experts from 26 countries in Istanbul on 10 September, 2015.
Openning panel was conducted by Selim Serezli of Eglence Fabrikasi and Selim Kaynak of Pelikan Muzik under the headline "The Past and Today of Music Industry in Turkey".
Attendants from Google and LyricFind as well as the executives from WIPO, CISAC and PRS discussed the evolution in music industry. Representatives from Ministry of Tourism and Culture, MESAM and MSG together with Baraka Muzik, Eglence Fabrikasi, Fix Muzik, Kalan Muzik, Median Muzik, Muzikotek, Orchard, Pelikan Muzik, Portal Rights Management, Universal Muzik Taksim Edisyon and Zeplin Edisyon also shared their views with other attendants.
Together with "Efficient licensing in digital platforms" and "Amended Copyright Legislation in EU" panels, the meeting was finalized with the speeches by the representatives from WIPO and CISAC.
ICMP and MEDDER announced that they will continue working closely on the topics such as new Turkish Copyright Law and local society legislation.
